FOR READERS
Worthy: Celebrating the Value of Women by Elyse Fitzpatrick and Eric Schumacher.
This was our first book for book club and it was so impactful for us- a must-read for any believer, man or woman. It celebrates the dignity of women and shows us a healthy theology of image-bearing from the pages of Scripture. Order your copy and if you are interested in our conversation with the authors, check it out here.
Made for More: An Invitation to Live in God’s Image by Hannah Anderson
This was another book club read for this year, and it was excellent. The entire book is thought-provoking and helpful, and she has an entire chapter on work and why it is valuable and essential. Check out our conversation with Hannah here!
Glory in the Ordinary: Why Your Work in the Home Matters to God by Courtney Reissig
This is an excellent book for women who stay at home and shows that the work in the home is valuable and essential. Courtney is a close friend to Women & Work and we have seen her model excellent work in her own life and ministry. A must-read!
Every Moment Holy: Volume 1 by McKelvey Douglas
This is a pocket-sized book of everyday liturgies promoted by a group of creatives in the Rabbit Room. There is an entire section on Liturgies for Work that are beautiful prayers- whether your work is at home or in an office.
Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God’s Work by Tim Keller and Katherine Leary Alsdorf
This is the go-to book for connecting your work and your faith. It is foundational and an excellent resource for any believer.
Work Matters: Connecting Sunday Worship to Monday Work by Tom Nelson will help you discover a new perspective on work that will transform your workday and make the majority of your waking hours matter, not only now, but for eternity.
FOR THE OFFICE
The Abide Notepad from our friends at Well-Watered women is not only beautiful, but practical as well. It is magnetic and has sections to help you prioritize your to-do list!
These pens and highlighters from Daily Grace Co are gorgeous and each set contains different reminders from the Word to help keep your mind focused throughout the day. We love the beautiful and good-quality resources from this company and these are a must-have!
We’re thrilled to introduce the new Women & Work tote bag to this list of recommendations as well!
Our heather gray bag is perfect for the office or any occasion you need a business casual accessory. Made of a polycanvas material with leatherette handles and a logo that reads, Your Work: God’s Glory, you’ll be reminded every time you grab this bag that your work matters to the kingdom of God.
Last but not least- who doesn’t need a good water bottle? Women & Work has a high quality insulated water bottle to help keep you hydrated. It’s sleek, professional, and practical!
FOR THE ORGANIZER
Gracelaced has an absolutely gorgeous planner for 2021. This charming and functional weekly planner offers space for you to take inventory of your days and what you value most. With monthly gratitude checklists and intricate word-art in Ruth’s signature style, each day provides an opportunity to build a firm foundation on God’s Word and work in your life.
Whitney English has gorgeous planners as well but one resource that we think is beautiful and practical is her sticky note tabs! This booklet comes with 60 sticky note tabs to help you keep track of all the important notes you need to access quickly.
Last but not least, Jacintha Payne is a master organizer with tons of free resources on her website to help any woman get organized. From meal plans to habit trackers, this is your new go-to! These resources would be great for an inexpensive gift to put together for a friend who loves organization.
We hope this gift guide was helpful for you and that you will help us in supporting and promoting small businesses and authors that are promoting healthy views of work- whether through content or by making beautiful products to accompany your workdays.
Merry Christmas!
