Welcome to Links We Love, the monthly post where you’ll find links to resources and content that will help you step into your God-given calling and view your work as a meaningful part of the kingdom of God.
What a month. Between the pandemic, sorrow over black lives lost, and the overall civil unrest in our nation, we hope you are staying healthy and encouraged despite it all. Like the psalmist says in Psalm 27:13-14:
I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord;
Be strong and let your heart take courage;
Yes, wait for the Lord.
And that is our prayer for you as well, that your hope will be continually placed in the Lord no matter the circumstances that swirl around you. He is all our hope and stay, even here.
FEATURED RESOURCE
This month’s featured resource is Breaking Cover: My Secret Life in the CIA and What it Taught Me about What’s Worth Fighting For by Michele Rigby Assad, our July Summer Series guest.
The threats were real.
The missions were perilous.
And deep inside, Michele wondered: Could she really do this job or had she misunderstood her life’s calling?
In Breaking Cover, Michele has at last been cleared to drop cover and tell her story of incredible struggle, of unexpected challenges and thwarted missions, and most significantly, of powerfully realizing what really matters in the face of her greatest fears.
